Summary
In accordance with the authority in References (a) and (b), this Manual implements policy established in Reference (c), assigns responsibilities, and provides guidance for the RCM process to achieve inherent reliability and restore deteriorated reliability for DoD materiel as well as ensure safety and other performance characteristics are maintained.
SUMMARY OF CHANGE 1. This change reassigns the office of primary responsibility for this manual to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment in accordance with the July 13, 2018 Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Reference (d)).
