This Public Works Technical Bulletin (PWTB) provides information on the process of conducting a Floristic Quality Assessment (FQA), which is a quick, easy, objective, and widelyaccepted method to evaluate the ecological condition of a site
based on its native floristic quality. This method is especially desirable since land management personnel can make the simple calculations using existing data sets (e.g., Range & Training Land Assessment Program data) and the available data sources for various states listed in Appendix B.
